Affectionately known as “Dr. Mike” by his patients and team, Dr. Michael G. Foust is originally from Ohio. He earned his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University—be sure to spot the Buckeye-themed decor in his personal office! He then pursued his dental degree at the Indiana University School of Dentistry, where he was awarded a full scholarship through the United States Navy.

Following dental school, Dr. Mike completed a General Practice Residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego. During his 11 years of active duty service, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy, with much of his career based in San Diego—a city he and his family are proud to now call home.

After transitioning from the military, Dr. Mike worked as an associate dentist in the San Diego area for six years. brings fresh energy and a forward-thinking approach focused on growth, innovation, and patient-centered care. Passionate about integrating cutting-edge dental technologies, Dr. Mike is dedicated to enhancing comfort, precision, and outcomes for every patient.

Dr. Mike’s 11 years of military service reflect a proud family tradition of dedication to the U.S. Armed Forces. Though no longer on active duty, he remains deeply connected to the military and veteran communities. He regularly volunteers at veteran stand-down events, offering vital dental care at no cost to those who’ve served.

His passion for service extends globally as well. Dr. Mike has participated in dental outreach missions in multiple countries, providing essential care to underserved populations. This commitment to helping others—whether in his local community or abroad—drives his purpose as a healthcare provider.

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Mike enjoys spending quality time with his wife and daughter, exploring the many outdoor adventures, beaches, and vibrant cultural experiences that San Diego has to offer.
